Volunteer Service Opportunities in the Loveland area are listed below; please contact the individual listed in charge of each event or group if you would like to help!

St. Matthew's Medical Clinic (a free, non-profit medical clinic started by Dr. Sundheim for those who do not have insurance or who can't afford health care) is in need of RNs, greeters, and other helpers. St. Matthew's is open from 6-9pm on most Thursday evenings. Please visit the St. Matthew's website for more information.

Thrivent Builds is a partnership between Thrivent Financial, Habitat for Humanity, and local churches. The goal behind this partnership is to further Habitat's mission of eliminating inadequate housing throughout the world. More information about how to help with the current Loveland project is available here.

Volunteers are needed at Loveland's Homeless Shelters, both Day and Night. The biggest need is during weekend hours, January through April. Times are 7:30-11:30am, 1:30-5:30pm, or 5:30-9:30pm, with Shelter Staff present. Would you be willing to spend some time visiting or praying with a person who is homeless? Would you be willing to give them a cup of water or a meal to eat? Our society considers homeless the lowliest of society and the homeless often feel this way about themselves. They each have a story, a history, and a past. But do they have a future? Jeremiah 29:11 says that our Lord has a plan for each one. Will you share this Good News? Will you be the answer to someone's prayer? Please call HNS at 970-667-4939 to volunteer or for information.

Assist Lutheran Family Services of Colorado as they set up apartments for newly arriving refugee families by filling a wastepaper basket with household necessities. Fill each basket with new items including paper towels, toilet paper, sponges, trash bags, dish soap, and all-purpose cleaners or simply collect some of these supplies. The items may be delivered to the LFS office at 800 Eighth Ave., Suite 225, Greeley, 80631, or for pick-up call Meghan Belaski, Volunteer/Donation Coordinator at 970-336-2205.

Loveland Food Share, a program of the Food Bank for Larimer County, is in need of volunteers at the Loveland office (245 S. Madison). Volunteers are needed to assist clients, for data entry, preparing inventory in the warehouse, and other areas. Contact Charlene Olms at 970-530-3113 for information.

Do you have an old bike lying around collecting dust? Or a bike that doesn't work anymore? After learning that a young man was aging out of foster care and needed transportation to get to his job, Jeff and Shana, LFS Foster parents, fixed up an old bike from a friend to assist him in starting this new phase of life. Realizing that bikes are an integral part of growing up, Jeff and Shawna have decided to take on the task of fixing up all sizes of bikes and giving them to foster children and teens who have very little to call their own. If you have an old bike, working or not, that you would like to share, call 303-995-7021 to make arrangements for the bike to be picked up.
